Ethnicity wise the main audience they want to watch are the black and asian community and age wise you have to be over a certain age limit and gender is a restriction as men can donate blood more often then women

There could be a oppositional reading as they dont aim the advert at white people which could lead the white community feel discriminated and left out.

Somekey moment from the NHS Christmas advert for donating blood can be shown from its connotations  of the camera shots and mise En scene is the use of long shot when shown empty chairs at the end of the advert. The use of the empty chair could show not much people from BAME community are donating blood. The use of urban clothing and long shots show that they have a ongoing issue with blood donors.
